My evening meditations with Immaculee Ilibagiza

Throughout the history of the Catholic Church, Blessed Virgin Mary (Mother of Jesus) has appeared in various places, various continents and at various times. A Marian apparition is a supernatural appearance of the Blessed Virgin Mary with a message for the world. Marian apparitions have led to conversions to Catholicism, a spread of devotions to Mary, and worldwide trips by millions of pilgrims to holy sites. Many have claimed to be visited by Mary, but only a few have so far been fully approved by the Catholic Church. For example

In 1531 Mary appeared at Guadalupe, in Mexico City, Mexico (Our Lady of Guadalupe).

In 1664 – 1718 A.D. Mary appeared at Laus, France (Our Lady of Laus)

In 1830 A.D. Mary appeared at Rue de Bac – Paris, France. (Our Lady of The Miraculous Medal)

In 1846 A.D. Mary appeared again at La Salette, France (Our Lady of La Salette)

In 1858 A.D. Mary appeared at Lourdes, France (Our Lady of Lourdes)

In 1879 A.D. Mary appeared at Knock, Ireland (Our Lady of Knock)

In 1917 A.D. Mary appeared at Fátima, Portugal (Our Lady of Fátima)

In 1932 – 1933 A.D. Mary appeared at Beauraing, Belgium (Our Lady of Beauraing)

The most recent approved Marian apparitions took place in Africa at a place called Kibeho, Rwanda (Our Lady of Kibeho). These apparitions began in 1981 and ended in 1989. The Virgin Mary appeared to young girls in Kibeho, Rwanda under the name “Nyina wa Jambo” that is, “Mother of the Word”. Unlike other apparitions, most eye witnesses of the apparitions at Kibeho are still living. One of them is Immaculée Ilibagiza. Immaculée Ilibagiza had a personal encounter with the Blessed Virgin Mary. Mary protected her from being killed during the Rwandese genocide. Since then, Immaculee has been moving across the globe sharing with the world the message she received from Virgin Mary and her intriguing story of how she survived the genocide. She is also a renowned author of LEFT TO TELL.

Immaculee visited us in Puerto Rico. In my private meditations with her I saw a real ambassador of peace, love and forgiveness. We are grateful to God and the Blessed Virgin Mary for the gift of life of Immaculee Ilibagiza. May she continue spreading God’s message of redemption through prayer and forgiveness to all humanity.
