A Message by Fr. Stephen Kakande Sekayala C.S.Sp on the Occasion of his 4th Priestly Anniversary (November 21, 2024)

Dear Parish Family, Friends and Confreres,

As I reflect on the past four years since my ordination, I am filled with profound gratitude and joy. It feels like just yesterday that I stood before heaven and earth, newly ordained, ready to embark on this incredible journey of serving God and His people. Today, as I mark my 4th priestly anniversary, I want to take a moment to share my heartfelt thanks and reflections with you all.

These four years have been filled with countless blessings, challenges, and unforgettable moments. I have had the privilege of celebrating the sacraments, sharing in your joys and sorrows, and witnessing the deep faith and love that animates our community. Each baptism, wedding, anointing of the sick, funeral and Mass has been a reminder of the beauty and depth of our Catholic faith.

I am deeply grateful for the support and prayers of each one of you. Your encouragement and faith have been a source of strength and inspiration for me. The bond we share as a family has enriched my ministry and deepened my own relationship with God.

I also want to acknowledge the guidance and mentorship of my Superiors and fellow priests in the Spiritan family and the dedication of our parish staff and volunteers. Together, we have worked to serve our community and grow in faith. Your commitment and hard work have been instrumental in our collective journey.

As I look to the future, I am filled with hope and excitement for what lies ahead. I pray that God will continue to guide me in serving you with compassion, humility, and love. Let us continue to walk this path together, supporting one another and growing in our faith.

Please join me in giving thanks to God for His many blessings and in praying for the grace to continue to serve Him faithfully.
